| Trigger disassembly??
Guys I have the tool to disassemble the Carbine bolt and detailed instructions with pictures AND I have the tool that supposedly is needed to disassemble the trigger group but have been unable to find any instructions on the Internet on how to use the tool or trigger group disessembly. Can anyone help me? Jim |

Well you should have! You don't need any tools to take apart a trigger group. Use the guide to remove the hammer spring. Then use it to push out the pins. The whole thing comes apart easily. The dental floss is used to pull the trigger spring back into place at the end of the reassembly process.

Disassemble. No disassemble. Disassemble, No more, Die, Dead, Non Existent. 6 feet under, pushing up daisies. lol Remember the movie "Short Circuit"? Every time I hear or see the word disassemble I think of that movie and number 5 saying that stuff. Good and kind of funny movie; I thought anyhow. But, I digress. lol

| Carbine Bolt
Jim Look at the instructions at Collecting and Shooting the U.S. M1 .30 Caliber Carbine - Bolt Disassembly and Reassembly if you have the bolt tool. It still took me a little while to figure out how to get it to go back together, but it does work. Don't think I would even attempt it with a screwdriver, as I have seen in other instructions, especially the pluger reassembly. |

If you still have questions just PM me and I can walk you through it. Ive taken these apart many many many times. Taken the bolt apart with no dissassembly tool many times as well. Thats because until recently I didnt know that there was one. Much easier with that jig to dissassemble it I will admit.

Capt'n I finally figured out how to use that Trigger Reassembly tool and it turns out it was a waste of time and $$$. Actually I ordered a bolt take down tool and a trigger tool before I even looked to see what was involved in the disassembly/reassembly of the bolt and trigger. Turns out you were right, the op rod pin was just the ticket to getting the trigger assembly apart and together again. I am embarrassed because it was so simple. I could not figure out where the dental floss came in but no sweat. Jim |

Thr floss is for reinstalling the trigger spring. You put a length of it through the loop in the spring then thread ti through the hole from the front then just pull the spring into place. You don't need a trigger spring tool to get the spring back in place. Its quick and simple and works.
