Woohoo! 'Bout time somebody started one! Here's mine, a 1943 IBM with a 1943 Underwood barrel. Bought it from jimb2 here at G&G.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the carbines to know what "type" they are, but I'm learning.

Anyway, I have 4 CMP carbines.
1 Rack Grade Inland that I call Ol' #19 (got 19 painted on the stock)
2 Service Grade Inlands that I picked out at the North Store
1 Rack Grade Winchester that I picked out at the South Store

All 4 rifles have the same barrel as the reciever, with the Inlands having Inland barrels and the Winnie has a Winnie barrel.

Other than occasional plinking and target shooting, I use them for CMP Carbine competition..

Saginaw 1943. Now don't get your panties all in a bunch....I made a few non-perminant changes to accomodate my old eyes and my perfered carry.
This is my everyday farm carry, personal defensive rifle and all around good companion.

I 've got an Inland that was made in '42. Older style L shaped sight.
Wish I had a pic. Gonna get a digital camera someday.

I only have one M1 Carbine. But she's a beauty! It is an IBM made in 1943. It has the post war updates and an Inland stock, but inside she's all IBM.

I have a New Auto Ordinance M1 Carbine with an Ultimak top rail that replaces the upper handguard....There a TruGlo 2x Red Dot on it and a GI type sling and Oiler...so fun to shoot any kind of .30 carbine ammo( Wolf, Privi Patrizan,UMC, Federal, S&B) no feed or ejection problems whatsoever

I shot out the center of a Statonary Clay pidgeon with it from 45 yards, pretty accurate id say as well

Carbine Roll call

I only have one, but its a good one.
Its a Winchester made in early 1945 with an undated "W" marked barrel. 99% parkerized finish with an original sling with oiler.Bore is bright and shiney. Has a "post" war M2 buttstock with handgruard. It wasn't cheap, but I alway "try" to buy the best I can afford when I find them. It came with three 15rd magazines and the dual magazine holder.

I made one small addition to this rifle, I found a original WWII flash hider(see below)

AOM1: I just put an Ultimak top rail on my new A-O too, but after installing it, I couldn't get the receiver to fit tight in the recoil lug as before. Do you have any ideas on what I might have done wrong? I want to put something like your 2x on it for my aging eyes.

Jimb2: I'd be glad to take one of those off your hands, realistic price of course, since your gun locker looks overcrowded! Any of 'em might be for sale?
