SA Garand pleasent surprise

I've had my first and only Garand for 4 years now, all SA marked parts, barrel is dated 6-53, shoots like a dream. I've learned how to completely detail strip & reassemble, and just today I finally found a site to research the receiver serial # (1829XXX) and its been verified as being manufactured between july and august 1943! Very nice to know I have a great functioning hybrid rifle from two different American war periods..now to see if I can identify the manufacture dates for the bolt/trigger group etc etc

If I list the bolt serial #, is it likely someone could date it?

Holy crap that was a good link, all parts ww2 period..but question, when the receiver is field stripped, there is a serial number D28291 29 and right above it 047, located right under the op rod handle when the bolt is closed. any ideas?

There is only one serial number on a Garand and that is on the reciver heel.
On the side are drawing/heat lot numbers

None of the numbers on any of the parts other than the one on the heel of the receiver are serial numbers. The barrel date is the date the barrel was manufactured, not necessarily the date is was installed.

With a 1943 receiver date, it's almost certain that your rifle saw action in WWII.
