| Hi all, The answer is that Ordnance had given Winchester a much higher rating for tools and machines for the M1 Garand. SA said unless that received the same rating, they would not be able to get their tools and machines for production of the M1 Garand. I hope this data helps Thanks again Clancy |

| Senior Member ![]() | I recently joined a CMP affiliated club. I have to watch out for their qual times. Then in 20 minutes or so I'd be at Camp Perry picking out my M-1 from the racks! :right:
