Whats a decent price for an M1

A friend of mine and I are going to a gun show this weekend, and he's pretty intent on buying an M1. I must admit that I know absolutly nothing about them. What is a average price for a Garand? Thanks for your help

The CMP has Greek Rack grades for $295. I was at the CMP north in August and looked at these. Not a bad deal at all. a service grqade sells for $500.

I ordered a Greek Rack Grade[ Springfield Armory, 1943] from the South store in Anniston. Needed new wood , but other than that , I'm very happy with mine. Looked at a lot of Garands before ordering this one. None were in as good of shape as this one. Just my $.02.
