On what date did Ordnance at Springfield Armory complete Serial Number 100,000
on the M1 Garand Rifle ?

Can't give an exact day but it should be dec. 1940. I have serial#898xx and it says it is Nov. 1940

Gentlemen,

The answer to the quiz is stated below:

Serial number 100,000 was built on Dec. 11, 1940. SA was holding it until orders came down for the War Dept., Ordnance.
