History behind my M1 Garand

Can anyone tell me if theres a way to find out when my Garand was made, and to who it might have been issued to.

The first is pretty basic.

http://www.jouster.com/serial/serial.html

Other history on the rifle is a crapshoot.

Go here under long arms and then Garands. If they have any history on your rifle you will find it http://www.armscollectors.com/srs.htm AS for date of birth we need a serial range to tell you. Rick B
