m1 gas lock markings

My gas lock is marked with an H Can anyone tell me what it means or who made it. Thanks

I think Poyers book talked about locks marked with H and M. I don't remember what they mean, but I'll try to look it up.

The lock with a M is known.
This lock was hardened for use with the grenade launcher and is the type 2 gas cylinder lock.
This is a late ww2 ore early post ww2 lock
The lock with a H however is not known to me!
Maybe it's an after production stops spare-part product?

Thanks guys ,Ididnt think I was going to get a responce,When I got it,it still had like grease and oil on it.Also is champher edged.
