An M1 Garand every 2.083 Minutes?

Gentlemen,
If I did my numbers right it does come out to be one (1) M1 Garand every TWO (2) MINUTES. I don't know if the Winchester M1's are in that rate of 3000 per day. Guys that is really moving along. At the time i.e. 1942 I don't think that there was any other power in WW 2 to have production rates anywhere near the USA. I think if we tried that today it might be hard to match. Look at the date.

Some data has been posted before others have not.

Thanks again
Clancy

Thumbs up

...and that amazing speed of production was achieved with many women...because their men were on the other end of a rifle fighting for their lives.

That is true, Ox, women's roles in the Big Wars is often times overlooked, they did play a big part

Gentlemen,
I have an Ordnance file about SA that shows that almost 1/2 of the workers were women.
