Here's the files. Yes Ordnance suspending Order for USN Rifles in 1933.
Find out WHY??

yeah garands have never been cheap but hey at least you get your bang for your buck.

Comming to your question ed:
Was it because the Navy also still ordered the 1903 rifle which Ordenance considered "out-dated"??
