You know, there are many rumours about the carbine that are just not true. I was going out to shoot my Inland last year when one of the gun shop "elders" told me the carbine was junk, and that when he was in Korea he would shoot "Chinks" five or six times and the bullets would bounce off their padded winter clothes. I spent the rest of the day busting up cinder blocks with single shots from that Inland. Those were some tough winter clothes they wore back then. My own father told me many times that carbines were only for "sissies and sailors". I don't think that was true either. Now Fieros on the other hand . . . .

Found my Garand at a tiny little So. Ohio gun show. There were M1 Natl. Matches, 'tanker' Garands all 'new' in boxes w/papers and a few good used ones. Been to bigger gun shows that had fewer Garands for sale, none 'new' in boxes. This was before the new SA started making them. Not sure who made them. Mine is in real good shape and shoots like brand new. Hasn't bit me (yet) either. Traded a hot rod 10/22 and a Win '94 Golden Spike model for it with no regrets.
If anybody wants to be mad, be mad at that traitor SOB bill clinton for making them demil all surplus guns except what CMP gets.
