| D-Day June 6, 1944 Gentlemen, Today is the 63rd year since D-Day June 6, 1944. It was also called by some "The Longest Day". I hold my hat over my heart on this day for all US and allied troops who fought on this day. You guys should take a minute for those living and dead who gave their all on that day so that we could be here today. I would just like to THANK ALL OF THEM. Clancy |

| Senior Member | I don't think anyone could've said it better Eclancy. I was watching on The History Channel a show called D-Day to Berlin just now. Aside from the historical significance of days like today, I enjoy the coverage that the History Channel and Military Channel, etc... have on the event. However, comma, I could not help but be a little annoyed when they show a dramatization of American GI's picking through bodies at Malmedy, with their Enfield No. 4 Mk I's slung over their shoulders. How hard is it to attempt to be historically accurate. |

| We must never forget. Dad (an only son) was an airplane mechanic for P-40s stationed in Panama. The same P-40s that were sent to China and became the Flying Tigers. Now, we must take off the Geneva Convention gloves and fight quite possibly the worst enemies we have ever had to fight, as bad if not worse than the Japanese of WW II. World War III was declared by the radical Islamists on 9/11/01. It was the WORLD Trade Center, not the U.S. Trade Center, and the sooner the world realizes that fact, the better off we all will be. God bless and protect our troops! |
