| MAJOR problem/M1/1942
Gentlemen, This file is for some of the new guys. It seems that early in 1942, we are at WAR. The main problem is that the M1 Garand does not WORK WELL IN RAIN. This problem could have taken the M1 Garand out of service until it was fixed. Here's one Report. Without input from you guys no one learns anything Try to put in some info/question and we can learn more of the M1's History. Your input is very important to all of us. Some of these have been seen before. ![]() ![]() ![]() Gentlemen Your on TIME and on TARGET Hit'em again Hit'em harder Thanks again Clancy Looking for Sponsors NRA Life Endowment NRA Training Counselor NRA Instructor FSS 90% / BW X Speed Div by 1000 = PF |

Could it be that the type of lubricant/grease was changed to improve the operation? Or possibly the op rod pistons were lubed when they shouldn't have been?
