| need some help with a Garand I'm trying to find out some info one what a garand is worth. I was told this would be the place to come find out. Here is the info I have on the gun so far. Its a garand that has been re chambered and barreled in 7.62mm. The barrel is stamped: 4 GR 1 10 7.62 MM 8 88 35T The way I understand it is that 4 GR means 4 grove right hand twist, 1 10 is one twist in 10 inches, 7.62 mm no explanation is needed, 8 88 means the gun was rebuilt to DCM match specs Aug 88, and 35t is the armorer that did the work. It was all done at SA, and there is a SA stamp just above the trigger. The gun is in immaculate condition and looks to have been fired very little since re chambered. I'm looking for a decent estimate of what its worth because I'm interested in buying it. Thanks for your help!! SSG Brett Norton 1-325 AIR, 82d ABN DIV Baghdad, Iraq |
