where the grands are?

Has anyone bought from the grand guy? I did and I was wondering if anyone else had problems or was it just me? We ordered two of his grands (premium grades) with walnut stocks now these are rebuilt guns with new stocks. When they got here the box was damaged and the stocks were battered so he replaced the stocks but when we went to the range 1 doubled and the op rod came off the bolt on the other one we sent them back and when returned the still did it so we sent them to our gunsmith he fixed one the other one we sent back and got our money back. Now this guy paid for all repairs and I don't want to give him a bad rap, maybe I just was unlucky anyone else buy from this guy?Big boomer

I Have had great luck with Tony and if there is a problem he takes care of it from all I have heard. Not sure why he had two problem rifles sent to you unless he is slipping in his work? Rick B

I've heard mixed things about the garand guy. He seems willing to make things right if there is a problem though.

ps CMP!

A guy on another forum bought from him. Garand was supposed to have new park, and new wood. Rifle came with some worn park and beat up wood. He did make it right though

like I said I don't want to give him a bad rap the guy was nice and paid for all problems. I still have one from him and I found another m1 in a gun shop it looked like a parade gun but shoots great. I am perplexed by the barrel. The action is ww2 the stock has been varnished the op rod has no blue or park. on it its like polished and coated clear. The barrel has 1951 and NRA on it. never heard of the NRA selling barrels. Well the inside of the barrel is like new so I'm happy: Big boomer

Spelling was never my strong point Garands are grand

The barrel is probably HRA, not NRA. I never saw a clear-coated op rod. You stock could be poly finished, or tru-oiled.
