| It's the "service" grade, which is just down from Correct Grade. $595 plus shipping. And thanks .22 Guy (and everyone else) I'm really glad I cancelled my SOG order and waited for this rifle, instead!! I don't have gauges, but I'm pretty happy with this photo, too.. ![]()

| WOW!!! That's a nice one. And with that 800,000 range serial number the receiver would of been produced in August of 1942 and you've got the older style trigger guard. What is the barrel marked? Last edited by Walther Gx-1; 12-22-2007 at 07:25 AM. |

| That's a great looking rifle. You need to post some data on the parts. Who made the bolt? Trigger group? Barrel? etc. |

| Super Moderator ![]() | Outstanding, CMP has better rifles than anyone else. We have a shop here near my place that has three of the SOG clubs for 900 ea. Go to CMP and you can get a complete refurbished rifle for $895 It looks like you have one of the new CMP stocks, you definitely made out they did not have any rifles that good at the South store several weeks ago

| Since when did they start replacing stocks on sevice grades? Take a look at your barrel, what does it say? I'm wondering if maybe they sent a select grade instead? |

| Senior Member | Since your stock is stamped CMP, they must have someone supplying new commercial stocks for them. Nice Paper. The muzzle looks very good. Another year or so and I'll be out of unsecured debt. Then, and hope CMP has some good ones like that. 3 or my 5 are CMPs.

| They have Boyds supplying stocks for them and they stamp them CMP. I never heard of them replacing stocks on a service grade. The select grades come with them though. |

| Nice rifle Paper!!! I just received my Select grade in the 5million range. It has very dark wood, and some "character" dings, and is no way as nice as yours! Looks like you got a winner! Here's mine: ![]() Last edited by Spikestrip; 12-23-2007 at 09:04 AM. |

| OZHUNTER62 In the picture, the device on the left with the hole in it is the safety, forward is off, back is on. Back in the days before everything had to be locked up in the armory, we had a rack down the center of the squad bay, we would put a bicycle lock through that hole, in the safe position, and lock it to the rack, aboard ship we would secure them to our bunks the same way. The hole on the right, in the trigger guard, is where we used to put a section of cleaning rod through to get a better grip on the guard to remove the trigger housing group, pull back and down to release and remove that group, some times it was very stiff and you needed a little extra leverage. Hope this helps. Roy |
