Finding a decently priced Garand

I'm out in CA and I'm thinking of buying a Garand, but I know there expensive. I HAD bought one back in '01 for a little over $550, but that was in Texas and I had my Army uniform on, just getting back from deployment. I'm pretty sure I got an excellent deal and I'm now looking for another deal sort of like that one. Question: Roughly how much am I looking at spending on a decent Garand, nothing fancy.

Click on the CMP site and check out their sales page. A service grade will cost you $595.00 plus shipping.

The one drawback is the wait.

Good Luck,AJ
