ITS HERE ITS HERE!!

And what a beauty too! I asked for a WWII SN but no can do, that is ok though, a service grade M1 Garand is finally mine! She is SN 5848XXX, Springfield Armory with Federal Eagle proof marks on stock and barrel, from what I gather around early 1955... what a beaut! Only real major dings in the wood are on the rear hand guard, I will see if that steams out, but I don't think it will since the wood looks a little broken around the edges of the dings.

I haven't had her apart yet, getting ready to do that now, I just wanted you all to be the first to know!
(I originally posted this in the Garanditis thread but after some thought decided that it deserved its own!)

Edit 1- The only parts that do not belong as far as I see are the trgger group and the gas cylinder lock screw, both HRA, everything else is SA, rifling is strong and mirror bright, with little or no wear on any of the parts... If I ever find my dang camera cord that goes to the computer I will definitly post pics!

Nope, a .40 S&W but I decided to get my M14 first, it should be here by Monday at the latest, I order this back in May so this was already figured into the budget, but the CCW pistol will have to wait, for a while at least!
