Hi all. I'm new here and I'm also a proud new owner of a Winchester 1944 M1. Beautiful rifle which I'll be breaking in at the range this weekend. I'll try to remember to come back and post a few pics.

Excellent. Hopefully it will come quickly, but I think you may be in for a wait. Thats how I did my Garand, but I ordered 2 can so the ammo. They sure are nice rifles. Dead nuts too.

Iron_Colonel, Update. Remove 2 Garands from invetory. I sold 2 of the lease valued rifles. But a good down payment for a Springfield M1A.

Yea, an M1A. There's one at a dealer near me for $1400. If I sell my bike, I think I just might buy it if it's still there?

Oh and, add one more Garand to that 180 and make it 181. I don't think I posted yet so I am now. lol

I have a SA Serial # 597883. It's a Garand Guy purchase. Nice to see all the beautiful rifles.

Thanks Iron Colonel. Of Course, still have 5 Garands in the rack. No luck on M1A yet. HOPE I can CHANGE that. Found em but for a too high price. Gun broker, for a Super Match, almost $3000. Even the "Match" on GB are high.
My thoughts have turned to an AR-10 from DPMS. Couple of weeks wait. Hmm?
but what I did buy recently was a new Hoyt Katera XL bow.
Caught a new disease, "the silent treatment". 445 grains at 280 fps of quiet.

Welcome to the Garand Club. It looks like you've got one with the machined triggerguard.
