I'd say it looks like a good one! But we have counted this one already, just before it was redone?

Two of my Garands

Here is a picture of two of my three M1 Garands. An all numbers matching Winchester "Win13" and an HRA. The other is another all numbers matching Winchester "Win13" that my father has.

Count one more Sarge!

My M1 is stripped and waiting for Boyds stock. I haven't had it to the range,
thought Id go through it first. Midway was back ordered and giving me a chance to inspect the rifle before I take her out.
SAFETY FIRST!

Having a blast here with all the knowledge and great people who are willing to help others.

So, hears mine next to my sons Savage 111, before I stripped her.

IL post a pic when I have it complete.

Add another H&R for me!! I found a Field Grade that gauged a touch under 1 at the muzzle and a touch under 2 at the throat. Mostly dark Greek re-park and a split on HRA/SA parts.
Nice stock, but I the hand guard has a couple cracks that have been arsenal repaired. I'm thinking this is the reason it was sold as a FG, rather than a SG. It gauged better than most of the SG rifles in the rack.

Photos to follow, once it ships from Anniston this week.

I have a Blue Sky import, April 1944 reciever, a 1951 bbl, National Match op rod. I was told the my stock was not walnut, possibly mahogany? I (easy off'ed) the stock, did minimal sanding, bought a walnut handguard, stained the stock walnut, and sprayed on about 25 coats of polyurethane. Not much figure in the wood ,but it really turned out nice for my first try at refinishing a stock.

Only one right now. It's a SA Aug 43 1.92 million series. Rebuilt in '65 (bbl.date) , probably at the Raritan (NJ) Arsenal. I got it as a police trade in. The PD used it as a parade rifle and the stock was sanded, so it had no cartouches and was destroyed (FUBAR) from 30+ years of close order drills. I put new wood on it(birch)(bought 5) from the DCM(they said it was new, but it was black with oil and cosmo), new trigger parts w/ NM mod., new gas cyl, new piston and recoil spring. Shoots moa off sand bags.
