It's actually a pretty cool idea. Just over-priced. Make it under $20 or even $15 and they would sell them.

| M3A1 Cleaning Tool
I'd be inclined to go with an M3A1 combination tool, myself. You get a chamber brush, a screwdriver to fit the Garand's screws, and a bolt disassembly tool. They're available from a number of places: Firearm Parts and Accessories | Numrich Gun Parts Corp. | e-GunParts.com Fulton Armory Home Page ...are two I found with a quick "Google" search. In both of these cases, do a site search for "M3A1 Cleaning Tool." Bill Ricca has a lot to say 'bout these tools at Bill Ricca's M1 and M14 Rifle Items HTH Ben Hartley |

Made my own long ago out of a 1/4" socket set flexi drive (plastic coated) with one end turned down & threaded to take my brushes & jags. Fits in my battery screwdriver, cos I'm a lazy sob. Most handy guys could knock one up even if you have to solder in a cleaning brush onto a socket and they'd still be half price. Available at almost any auto tool store.

This flexible chamber tool is made by Hoppe's. It takes all sizes of brush, swab, etc. http://images2c.snapfish.com/232323232%7Ffp536%3A6%3Enu%3D3254%3E47%3B%3E453%3E WSNRCG%3D3278%3C73%3B9%3B32%3Cnu0mrj |

| Maybe...but
I guess I'm just more particular than the average Joe when it comes to my Garand. I like the GGG one because it has a sturdy swivel and is made only for using patches after the chamber brush has been used. It is made to tolerance so that there is a tight fit with the patch to make sure that the chamber is clean and free of any residue. Well worth $23 if I consider how much I spend for a weapon or optics. Point made.

I have the M3 tool (patch tip) as well as the M3A1 and they get the job done well. I have to admit, though, the long handle tool in question looks good, though a bit pricey. It gave me an idea to tinker with. Dave
