| Repair near a cartouche Hey stock doc, would you fix this or leave it alone. Looks like a pair of plyres got ahold of it. Thanks.

| If it were mine and it was a original I would think hard about it. Otherwise you can clean the area with Acetone then set some water on the Sight knurl marks a few times until it lifts a bit then take 220 sand paper very cautiously and lightly touch area to knock down the knurl marks and 0000 steel wool then oil. If color is to light take a Q-tip and add a touch of Chestnut Ridge stain and oil again. Repeat until happy. Also if you clean the entire stock for a complete refinish it will lift those marks most probably. Remember you can always refinish but you cant take it back when done. If done properly it will be fine unless you refinish it to a mint smooth finish then it will look out of place. Some scars are a must and should be worn to show some history. Hope this helps. Rick B
