| I just think it's funny where people spend big bucks on things others don't think they need and then exclaim how much they want certain guns and what drastic things they would give. All it takes is putting those guns at a certain point on the priority list. I mean some folks pay $500 a month in rent or mortgage and some pay $1500. I would imagine those projects each cost somewhere between $1000 and $2000 each, or at least on average. I bet if you add them altogether that's the price of a quad, dirtbike, and outboard motor, or 2/3 for some folks. It's all in how priorities stack up for you. If those things are important enough for you to stick with a smaller gun collection (one without 5 M14s) then just be happy and proficient with what you have. (Didn't mean to jump on Q2 - I see these comments all the time.) Sorry, didn't want to hijack. Just wanted to say that one could easily have a nice set of guns if he's willing to work for them and put them above other things. That includes other guns.

I've quickly gone from 3 guns to 13, but this will slow down now because I'm closing on a house next week  | |

| Slowing down... ok. Going back... that's another matter, only for emergency purposes. I'm in the same boat. Then again I sold my AR and never looked back.

| Wow Funny how opinions fly. Yes the comment was made if a trade was possible, however that could have been a compliment - meaning the collection was nice and I'd like that also, etc. - instead of just saying Wow, I'm jealous, nice guns, etc. Also some people - myself included prefer to trade one firearm (I hate to use the word toy or big boy toy) for another hoping to eventually get my collection back. That is the way it was ment (compliment) , however I would gladly trade one of my AR's (and maybe something else) for one. I bought a M1A a long time ago and sold it when times were tough. Although money is still tight I'm trying to get at least one of each type of firearm I ever owned. I have been looking locally in Pensacola, FL and on AR15.com but have not been able to find a reasonable priced one. I prefer to trade something I have several of and reduce the cash spent -at least for now. Sorry to hijack. Those are nice rifles, I really like the Standard wood, great pictures  |

| If anyone hijacked it was me, and I owe the apologies. Occasionally - actually far too often - people see a nice gun and go entirely crazy and make wild wacky offers of their soul, first-born, or certain organs, when all it would really take is a couple thousand bucks at the very most. I don't keep track of whether it's the same people, but I see lots of posts where people are talking about having no money for guns due to nice vehicles, travel, and various activities and projects that they could easily choose guns over and still survive and have their soul, first-born, and body intact. Used to make me laugh, now it only makes me cry. If you want to see any of this, visit the Saiga forum (plenty of excellent members though.) Offering to trade an AR-15 + cash is an entirely sane offer. However I doubt anyone who takes M14s this seriously would ever consider it in their wildest dreams.
