If I were to get one, it would have to be old school original also. I'll save the pimping out for an AR or something.

Improving on the original should only be a stock (composite) and an optic... that is my plan.

My plan is to mount a Leupold 6.5 - 20x50 Mark 4 LR/T M1 Illuminated Tactical Scope on a 3-point base and a composite stock fitted with a Harris bipod...

i use a eotech and a eotech 4x magnifier on my new M-14

well i like the eotech stuff < the optics are hard core > and i like being able to switch from optics to irons in seconds < with my ggg quick release >

i c i c....i just wish i had an m14 lol. My list of wants...i mean needs....just keeps gettin bigger...I NEED A JOB lol can't wait to be working this summer. sucks to be in school with very little income

My receiver is drilled for the ball/spring detent. (most SA's are) I added the 1/4moa disk kit ($30) and 1/2moa hooded aperture. I was able to get out this week and put 100 rounds down range. I had more fun shooting with the irons than I did with the scope.
