dang. i wanted and M1a before i saw this thread. thanks a lot guys now i want one that much more and wont be able to get one for like 3 years...or whenever i graduate college lol.... they better still be legal or i'm gonna be pissed.

It is possible it could be select fire, but more likely it a kit you can get to fill in the notch on old GI stocks. It is gi parts you attach to the stock to make it look like a select fire rifle. In reality very few issued rifles had select capability, most had the selector removed.

It is a real and legal full auto. Really!!
I was able to alter my M1A in 1985 when one could still do so.They closed that door the year after.

There are a few of them around. Different (Lee Emerson) has one and
a guy I know in NW Georgia has two NFA registered select fire M1As.
Real freaking nice, but I would not want to feed one...
