Ivory grips

i have some Ivory grips on my 1911a1 and I am the only person I know that has them.
is there any one else out there?
I went to the range and everybody GAWKED at my pistol wanting to hold it
the range guys came over and said it was the first one they had ever seen.
whats the deal? is it really that rare?
am I Just weird or what?

I have some fake ivory grips for my Ruger Mark 2 and a pair of Eagle Secret Service grips for a J Frame..just haven't gotten around to getting a J Frame to put them on..but I want Sid Ryan to scrimshaw them first..I like his "Twins 2" design
