I have a guy with a officers mod 1911a1 that shoot WAYYY low

This guy I know has a officers model that shoots WAY low
factory sights all original.
its not just a little low
its 2 feet low at 15 feet
somethings wrong and yet everything appears to be perfect with that pistol.
Is this defect common?
do any of you .45 guys ever hear of something like this?
its a colt officers .45acp with the cone shaped barrel.

Thanks guys

That far off I would put the barrel bushing back in. Sounds like your friend is pushing into the recoil

Exclamation

My Combat Commander hits 9 inches low at 25 yards...I was going to try different sights but I may end up selling it to buy a series 70 Colt :target:

Tough to find a good series 70 This may be a stupid question but have you tried ball ammo. I have and Officers SS That is right on at 33 ft and 4 or so in high at 25 yds. If it groups I would mill the slide and add a Bomar and shoot it till the front sight flys out then mill and dovetail the front sight
