| I'm one happy camper. I installed a green Tru-glow front sight on my SA GI Champ recently, but it is higher than the rear sights, so after a few posts on another site I found out that a Milspec rear site would fit the Bovar cut. So I called, and he said come over. The man's garage looked like a machine shop and was only two miles from my house. He had a milspec rear site from a previous job, and installed it. I said how much. He said 5.00. I gave him 10.00. I talked about a trigger job, enlarging my ejection port, polishing it internally, and re-parkerizing the slide after rounding the edges and putting a better guide rod in it for 100.00. It is going to turn into a different gun next week. The range was on the way home, and it is getting 3/4" groups at 25 ft. now. Life is good. |

| But at least it's in state. Hanson Precision 6417 Billy Bonney Pass, Austin. Tx. 78749 512-301-1844. If you travel up here on occasion, it would be worth checking out. He had a P 220 [bare frame] on the bench that had been refinished, and it looked good. Really nice guy, and his partner is the re-finisher. His dog came out, smelled my gun bag and barked once announcing me. Give him a call. |
