Tuna Can 1942 ammo arrived and thanks Eric

Eric recomended me to www.centerfiresystems.com for a tuna can of 45 ammo at $105.00 shipped to my door. Well I opened it and it was in boxes and all dated 1942 with RA. All even and uniform not like my buddies bought at a local show months ago, which was in plastic bags and all different years and headstamps. This stuff got canned and never touched since WWII. I'm happy as can be and want to thank you Eric, I owe yah one. Rick B

No problem Rick, Just glad I could help...I actually feel honored getting a "thank you" from the 'man.' I'm still showing those pics of the M1A1 that was a goner to everybody that comes over, telling them "you're not going to believe this!" Have fun with the .45. (are you really going to shoot it? those rounds sound like part of a 'real' gun collection)...lol!!!

I heard that most 45 ammo in the WWII era was corrosive .Might want to keep that in mind.

Anything American before mid 50's or so is corrosive. I am a clean freak so not to worry. I have gone shooting and set up on the back of my truck after I was done cleaning all my rifles why everyone else stands around shooting the breeze about the days shoot. This way I am done or very close to it by the time I get home. This is a habit I started as a kid because I didn't like when I would come home ,set the guns in the corner of my room and wouldn't get to them right away. I then made it a rule to do them when I walked in the door or within a hour. I after awhile decided to make a box for carrying around and would clean while B.Sing after a shoot. Normally guys will start asking easiest way to disassemble or better methods of cleaning along with what products I think are best. This saves any worries about corrosive ammo and I do allot of black powder shooting so cleaning when outside is a excellent way since they are so fouled up. Everyone should try this it saves time for when you get home and have to unpack. Rick B
