Being stainless both frame and slide I was somewhat worried about galling also I have had problems with my 3" Kimber Ultra Carry .45 with FTF and FTEs. So I really wanted togive the new Para a test. I fired 200 rounds of 230gr ball FMJ Ammo. 100 was WWB and 100 Fioocchi. Also 20 Rem. Golden Saber 230gr JHP +Ps The Para is snappy and very easy to keep on target. Not once did it fail to preform. I was just blown away at how good a 1911 this Sub Compact really was. Todd Jarret does a lot of shooting with the Para LDA he is one of their experts and I give Todd a lot of respect. Take down is simple no extra tool needed as it has no bushing. Recoil spring is a two spring Assy. fitted into a small retaining cup that installs in the slide. It comes with a really good Manual and a DVD with Todd Jarret explaining how to take it apart and get used to the new type LDA trigger. Also a few extras about shooting it. It's the Paras super double action trigger that make it so easy to shoot it's not like a standard 1911 trigger but after firing it you just know it's really good to go. This one is a keeper. Aren't these great pistols! I have a Carry 12LDA and it's a blast to shoot. It is my favorite carry gun. Enjoy the shooting and post some targets when you can.

My local indoor range is not the greatest they stuck me over at the side where the lighting was really poor they wanted to keep me away from a bunch of security guys shooting at the good side of range for some reason. I had a hard time just seeing my sights. Also they make you keep your target at 15 yards out won't allow it any closer. But I can tell you this my new LDA 3-1/2" .45 shot better groups then I could ever shoot with my 5" Kimber and a lot better then with my 3" Kimber. It's the LDA trigger that makes it so great to shoot. It's just a really good shooter. And it fits in my 4" Comp-Tac and Milt Sparks 1911 holsters so I don't need to buy any new holsters I am holster poor already. |
