1911 Frames

Someday I would like to build a 1911, but I have some questions before I get started. I don't know what parts kit yet, but I was thinking an older WWII style kit so keep that in mind. What is the best quality and lowest priced frames to start building a 1911? What would be the ones to avoid at all cost? Are there any differences at all? Any input would be much appreciated.

You absolutely can't go wrong with a Caspian. The cheapest are the Essex and Armscor but you'll get more for your money with the Caspian. Brownells - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools has a pretty good selection with good descriptions.
