| Shooters Arms 1911 Shooters Arms 1911 Military 45ACP yay or nay??? I found a website thats offering them, brand new, with one 7 round magazine for under 400, thats with me including the shipping. I've asked around about the brand, but no one I know has heard much about them so I was hoping to get an opinion here. Are they rebliable, accurate, so on and so forth. ![]() |

| I one of the "never heard of them" crowd. Sorry. But it looks to be one more Philippines manufacturer. I wonder why so many 1911 clones are made there? Last edited by gandog56; 07-22-2008 at 02:04 AM. |

| RIA 1911s - high quality, low cost alternative You can still pick up a Rock Island Armory milspec 1911 .45ACP for around $360, or the more full-featured Rock Island Armory Tactical 1911 .45ACP for around $400. I love my RIA milspec - I have about 1000 rounds thru it with zero problems, no jams, very accurate and reliable. Almost all the reviews and user feedback on RIA 1911s are very positive. So while I don't know anything about the Shooters Arms 1911, it would seem that the RIA 1911's over a very attractive, low cost alternative in a brand that is well known and has positive feedback and reviews.

| I'd buy RIA's over the Shooter Arms every time. The RIA Tactical is the best value out there right now.

| I would second the RIA instead. Too many RIA owners I have known like their pistols. |

| .45 ammo is a lot easier to find than .38 super. Plus I think a bigger hole going in is better. But I am lucky that I live near an indoor range has about any caliber handgun you would care to rent, and could try it and see if I liked it. That is the reason I have my Springfield Armory 1911A1 GI. Out of all the cheaper .45's they had, that was the one I shot the best. |
