WASR-10/63 Romanian style AK47 question

I bought my AK47 at a gun show and when I got home I realized that it came wit a 10/rd single stack clip and I bought a 30/rd to go with it, the 30/rd does not fit into the bottom of my gun, is there a way I can either modify the clip or the firearm itself in order to get it to fit? its just barely too big for the hole

Sorry I can't help you with that one, but I understand that there is a way to modify the mag well.
oh, and just a friendly tip. It's called a magazine. Not a "clip." As a general rule among small arms, if it has a spring, it's a magazine. Don't let hollywood fool you.

Recon, Century International Arms, Inc. imports AK-variant rifles and the ones that are originally single-stack mags, such as the Romanian, they grind-out the magwell in certain areas so that the double-stack magazines will fit. The issue is that magazines on a lot of these guns then have a bit of "wobble", since they no longer have metal holding the mag tight on each side. AK's that have original double-stack mags have a "dimple" on each side of the receiver that holds the sides of the mag.

I believe that you can do the grinding yourself, but I would suggest taking it to a reputable gunsmith and asking them to do it for you. Much less chance of getting mag-wobble, then.

Stamped receivers aren't that hard to mod for mags. Get a receiver pattern and machine the mag well to match it. Don't mod anything but the receiver, ie don't touch the trunion or barrel.
