redo magazines

Hi, does anyone have info for me on how to redo my magazines for the ar15/m16. The outsides are worn out and i want to repaint and clean them up. Not sure what to use that would stand up to friction.

I would appreciate any input.

you could sand them and paint them with rattle can if do good prep work it should hold up fairly well.

Re blueing is also an option they sell kits i think they are called Hard blue.

Actually if you paint them i would not paint the part that goes into the rifle it could wear and paint chips could get into the receiver.
