| It shure pays to have a friend at the gun shop my gun shop that I go to recognizes my "contributions" I walk in out of the blue and find my buddy buying a CZ52 because he fell in love with shooting mine. Thennnnn there was a new guy behing the counter and terry my very good friend introduced us a person came in seriously looking for a pistol the new guy was .....well doing his best I saw where My skill was needed. got the nod from terry he told the new guy to watch and assist me and I helped the customer find and finally buy a kimber .45 2 guns in twenty minutes HOOOOOOOAAAAAA! Thats why they give me the odd lots of "bring in" Makerov ammunition and grips out of the grip box and just about anything I want thats floating around. when you go back to the same place and create a friendship with the people there that is a good thing. It is the un pretenciousness that will mean the difference between success and just getting by in gun sales. still it was great............. I would have to say that over the last 3 years I bet I have sold 13 makerovs out of that store. I can not tell you how many times I have taken people down there so they can buy a Makerov after I talked them in to it.

| Heck, they're getting off cheap it sounds like. You need to work on a commission deal with them. Good story Dennis, and it applies to a lot more than just the gun collecting game. Good folks is good folks, wether it's the gunshop, the little Indian convenience store on the corner, or your local DMV(they HAVE good workers occasionally!), and if you're gonna be seeing them often, it's always in your best interest to forge SOME kind of bond, no matter how slight. The world would be a much better place if everyone took the time to be friendly and helpful to people.

From this it follows that any people you meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination. |

| Well ya gotta be careful and only do it with permission. you run the risk of pissing off the employee. make shure the salesman knows your good intentions. and the boss knows your good intentions. It the customer leaves, the sales man can blame you. just make shure ya know what you are doing.
