| Every gun show I go to has several Makarovs, but only in .380. I got a Bulgarian in 2004, in 9x18. But curious now that you mention it the 9x18's are hard to find. |

| If you buy a .380 Makarov and want to convert it to 9x18 all you do is buy a 9x18 barrel and replace it. No other mods required! Rich

The commercial Bulgies (Arsenal and Miltex SE) in .380 have had the breech face machined especially for .380. If you change one of those from .380, the breech face will need to be altered. | |

| Try either of these two online gun auction sites. auctionarms.com gunbroker.com I have had very good luck with these sites. I have owned three Makarovs at various times (I have one now, and it's a keeper) and consider them to be an excellent compact semi-auto pistol, especially now that 9x18mm ammo is more readily available. |
