| Need a little help The other day my wife and I found a gun shop with a Makarov for $173.00 I realy could not see any markings on it but this is the first time I had a chance to see one. I am realy impressed with what looks like a step up from a PPK. ( I had a PPK and kept getting slide bite)dumped it. I also flet that this little jem flet realy felt like a apendage. Is this a good price for a Makarov and what should I be looking for? The reason I'm asking here is because the guy behind the counter seemed more interested in talking with his girlfriend on the phone then with a customer ( that just pissed me off) Thanks all. ![]() Last edited by FloridaShark; 10-14-2007 at 08:14 AM. | It's worth taking a look at gunbroker.com as well. They've had Makarovs go for as little as $100, although the FFL transfer fee and shipping will drive the cost up. |

| My Maks give me slidebite. They also give me peace-of-mind. They are very solid, well-made pistols. |

| Dookiebutt, "My Maks give me slidebite. They also give me peace-of-mind. They are very solid, well-made pistols." Are you shooting a Makarov or a pistol chambered in 9 Makarov? I can see you getting bit by a PA-63, P-64 but not a Makarov.. |

| I have three Bulgy Maks. They all manage to bite the bone in my thumb. I think it's just the size and shape of my hand combined with the shape of the pistol. |
