new makarov

hey guys, i got a question...i finally found a makarov in 380 and im getting it next week. the last soviet pistol i had was a tokarev and it wouldnt feed any ammo but FMJ ball type. do any of you that have a makarov have any feeding trouble with a certain type of ammo? thanks guys

So far My Makarov in .380 eats anything ! I only have Russian Ball ammo for my 9 X 18 Mak... but it is hotter ammo and it feeds just fine !

thanks alot! ill probably end up reloading my own ammo,but at first i just didnt wanna waste money on hollow points if i couldnt shoot em. thanks again!...mark

I carry my primary magazine loaded with Hollow points, my secondary Magazine with Ball Ammo...I like the winchester silver Hollow points !

my Bakil 9x18 eats Silver Bear h.p. s but is not 100% reliable with the Hornandy or cor bon

well i got it and i couldnt be happier with it! shoots great no malfunctions looks cool and who could ask for more? now i just gotta get some dies and start rollin' some bullets for her. the only bad thing is...after all the research i did on this gun....now i want a norinco makarov! the fun never ends!

My East German Makarov has happily gobbled up everything I ever put in the magazine-even .380s that are a millimeter shorter than the Makarov round.

This is dangerous! You should not shoot .380ACP in 9X18. The case is too short and the bullet diameter is 8 thousandths too small. That being said the case may not flow and properly seal the chamber as the bullet enters the bbl. Get the right ammo for the chambering....

Had 2 Makarovs...really didn't like the way they shot (9x18)...never fired a .380 one though.

I prefer the CZ82...shoots alot nicer.
