| Has any one gotten one of those Commander hammers
I checked Makarov .com and their web site appears to be doing better than last time I checked there. has any one had any experience with the commander hammers they have in their catalog? One of my old tricks to dressing up Makarov Pistols is to gold plate the trigger and shine the sides of the hammer. seeing the Commander hammer is giveing me some Ideas. Anybodys experiences? |

Dennis, I have one, and I have to say it gives me mixed feelings. On my Bulgarians, it works fine. Same for my Russian Maks. However, it doesn't do well at all on any of my E. German Maks. I haven't messed with the main/hammerspring on any of them. Kinda funny, if you ask me. The hammer doesn't seem to have the weight behind it to strike the primers hard enough on the E. German models. My friends have had the same experience with theirs, too. So, as long as it's not for an E. German Makarov, I would say that it's okay. HTH
