| Henry I have a Henry Goldenboy 22 caliber rifle. Its my baby. Smoothest lever action of any rifle I have handled. The octagon barrell looks cool. And that gold coloring is awesome. I love plinking with it. How do you like this firearm? Anyone have a Henry in a larger caliber? |

| I have the regular Henry, and it's one of my favorite .22 rifles. The action is butter smooth, and the little bugger is very accurate! It puts my Ruger 10-22 to shame. My experience has been that the people who keep belittling the Henry haven't shot one and certainly don't own one. A local gun/pawn shop has a Goldenboy that looks virtually new. It's very tempting! I'm eagerly awaiting the Henry in .357Magnum. The .44Magnum is a bit too big for what I want.

| I have the Henry Gold Boy.....love it. I agree that it's action has to be the smoothest of any lever action I've found. I did, however, have some ejection problems when I first bought mine but Henry took care of it without a whimper. They even sent me some neat goodies as an 'apology'. I'd like to look into the .17 version they are making. But, truthfully, I think a lever action in a round near .22 and at a price nearing a full sized (albeit used...most likely) Marlin or Winchester lever action is asking just a bit too much. But, anyway, I certainly don't regret ever buying my Gold Boy.

| I agree Dale.....the price is on the steep side. That why I bought mine used in like new condition a bunch cheaper. Still in the original box. I did not plan on buying it. Bought it at a pawn shop from the owner who just wanted his money back from a pawn deal. Other wise I likely would not of bought one. Now I can see why people like them so much. Has to be the smoothest action of any firearm I have. |
