| Which Bolt Action? Say you had to pick a bolt action rifle in a popular caliber, say it was a caliber in which everyone had a rifle, like 30-06, 270, 308, 243, etc. Say it was a basic simple beater rifle for hunting. Whose rifle would you choose?

| Savage 110 in .308 Win. A good basic utilitarian hunting rifle.

| Well, for man hunting I'd go w/ Sako TRG-22/42. For anything else, either Tikka T3 or Remington. Can't go wrong w/ a mosin either, especially from a utilitarian POV.

| What's wild is that no one's contributed to the poll who responded here. The Savage vote was me.

| well the only hunting rifle i own is a Remington M-78 in .270 Win. the M-78 is a M-700 with out all the fancy stuff, plain wood, dull black metal. but its good. |
