Well, I did something I said I was never going to do again..I bought a Marlin.

A bolt-action in .22 magnum with synthetic stock (good for rough weather). This one has an accu-trigger of sorts and I wonder if I'm going to like it or not. It looks good and seems to function properly. When I shoot it, I'll let you folks know whether it works or not. If this one doesn't work, I swear, I'll never trust this company again. The last two new Marlins I bought were lemons, but this one just lept off the gun counter and threw itself up to my shoulder and it just felt so darn at home there, I couldn't resist. Kind of like an overly friendly cat clawing up your best pair of Levi's.

My Marlin 60-C loves CCI and is 1 1/2" at 100yds.
I put a 3x9x42 on it. Plinkster, heck it will nail you.
I have 14 in the tube. Pure pleasure to shoot.
Jeep Thing and hswaters like this.

Rifle ok , cat will be droppedkicked, I just this weekend shot a buddy's Marlin 336 in 30-30 (late 70's early 80's) and will say it shot very well and I'm a "Winchester" man. I've got an old Glenfield singleshot in .22 and it's very accurate , hopefuly you find a good one, good luck and good shooting.

let us know how you make out with it. Never owned one, but never heard complaints about their accuracy.

My first Marlin XT out of Kentucky had the front sight installed squish to the right. My second one is great. I really like the feel of these more than the Savages.
