Question Marlin Lever Guns Rifling:

Do any of you have any of the new model Marlins with the Ballard style cut rifling that is advertised in their Cowboy Models? Does that type of rifling shoot jacketed bullets as well as or better than the Micro- Groove rifling? I know it will probably shoot solid lead bullets well, as it is cut deep rifling. Just curious if they will shoot all bullet types with equal accuracy. Thamks.

My guide gun has ballard type rifling and it shoots jacketed or lead bullets great.
Marlin uses the term ballard rifling to distinguish the new rifles with standard rifling from the old rifles with Micro groove rifling.
