Marlin Centerfire Bolt guns?

I saw one recently at Gander Mountain, never knew Marlin ever made centerfire bolt guns. Looked substantial and solid, I think the tag was $450. Apparently they're called the MR-7, have a 3 position safety, a Gunsamerica ad asking $350 scoped says both hinged floorplate and detachable mag

and both I've seen are in 30-06.

Anyone know if they're any good, and worth what's usually asked for them? Are they a design original to Marlin or are they a copy of another?

it was a very good rifle, abut a marketing failure. Mossberg bought the rights, and it died a malingering death with Mossberg.
