What you think about the Model 60?

I found a brand new Marlin Model 60ss at the pawn shop for $100. Would you get it?

Exclamation

The 60SS is the stainless model, isn't it? Great price, if it is!
The Marlin 60 in any version is a good rifle - excellent value for the money.
Search back a few weeks, we've been discussing the model 60 versus it's main competitor. Most favor the 60!

Talking

Yep, I paid $159 plus tax&nics at Wally World about 2001, for my 60SB.
The basic blued and birch model 60 then was about $115.

Good deal, Bama!

I have a model 60 that was passed down from my Uncle who used as a walking stick more often than a rifle, but it will still out shoot my 10-22. Good gun.

Ok, here are the disclaimers for this post! No I am not putting down on 10-22s. I love mine. No I do not condone using a rifle for a walking stick. My uncle was almost 90 when he was doing this - he didn't much care about shooting himself!
