Have you tried Marlin in North Haven Connecticut?

Thumbs up

I see them occasionally on GunsAmerica, and on Gunbroker.
Sometimes, even ebay will have gun parts, if someone is breaking one down and parting it out.
I have the Model 80DL, and love it. Fitted with a Lyman 17 front Globe sight and a Lyman 57 rear peep sight, it never fails to wow the yokels at the range. "Whut is that, a Anschutz?" they ask. Nah, I say, Just an old Marlin!

I love the old American iron!

marlin modle 81 DL

I just received my Marlin 81 DL today. I bought it off gunbroker.com. I have a total of $145.00 total exspence with the final auction price, $25.00 shipping and $10.00 dealer transfer fee. It was a beutiful rifle and it cycles great. I noticed that 2 other 81 DL were up for auction on this web site and they look to be in great condition as well.

Good luck,

Scott.

Arctic 81

I found one buried in the mud out in the city dump, brought it home and cleaned it up, found someone had slugged the barrel, I got a used Bbl form Numrich and pressed it in and that was all, It looked pretty bad but shot circles around anything we put up against it!
