| Marlin Model 57
I bought a Marlin Model 57 in 22 Mag. Occassionally it will not fire a round, it leaves a "fair" indentation on the rim, but a bit light compared to my 10-22. I tried two differant types of ammo with no differance. Is there an easy fix?

Hard to say if it needs a new firing pin or Just a good cleaning or something else! I had a Marlin 57M years ago and traded it off and regretted it ever since ! I never had a problem with mine !

Mushroomed firing pin, gunsmith turned it down and claims that should solve the problem. I can't tell the differance between the casings I gave him and the ones he gave me back. I'll find out tonight when I put a hundred rounds through it.
