Not sure if you are still interested in more info about your Model 90 after over 2 years. The previous post is not correct. I have 6 M90's and before 1949 they were closed between the barrels and open after 1949. Is there a letter preceeding the serial number? Marlin used letters after the WWII (for example DXXXX would have been made in 1947)
