| 1894 SS vs 94 trapper
I have a 94 trapper in 44 mag and I'm looking to buy a Marlin 1894SS, are they better or worse? Any opinions on either gun would be apprciated.

I have had a Marlin in .44 mag and now have 2 (1894CB32 & 357). Marlin lever action rifles are pretty neat guns and seem to work right.

If your Trapper is a Winchester, then the difference is the Win 94 is a rifle length action adapted for pistol length cartridges. The Marlin is designed for pistol length cartridges. I shoot CAS, so I get to see a lot of lever action rifles in pistol calibers. The Win 94 in any handgun cartridge is more likely to fail to feed than the Marlins, the '73 or '92 Winchesters.
