Usually Wal-Mart. If they do not have one on hand they can order one for you.
You do not say where you live so if the Wal-Marts there do not sell firearms then any gun store should be able to order you one. Also you can order on line and have it sent to a FFL dealer near you for pick up.
EASIEST = Wal-Mart
EASY = Gun Store
Harder = Order on Line

You must also meet all Federal and state requirements/laws for purchase of firearms.

The Wal-Marts in my area carry very few Marlins. You might get lucky at the one near you though. Your best bet would be to find the biggest gun store near you. If that doesn't work, call around to the local gun shops and see what they have. Save the gas. Chances are, one of the guys at the gun store will do some digging for you and find someone he knows that carries one.

My first thought was that Marlin didn't offer a .17 caliber rimfire semi-auto - but they do . . .

Marlin Firearms: Autoloading Rifles : 717M2

But be aware, it is .17 Mach2, not the more common and more powerful .17HMR. Looks like a nice gun. If Wal-Mart doesn't have it in stock, they can order it for you.
